AU 2007 Classes for Dana

Posted by Dana Breig Probert, EIT on 11th June 2007

I got word today that I will be teaching the following classes at Autodesk University this year.

CV3100 Using AutoCAD Civil 3D for Stormwater Management Tasks:
Part I, Hydrology (1.5 hour lecture)

This class is an enhanced, slowed down and improved version of my SWM class from last year.  Tanya West, PE is doing Part II, Hydraulics in another 1.5 hour lecture.  My focus will be on pre and post development overland analysis tools, while her class is focusing on pipe design and hydraulic analysis.  I believe Mark Scacco, PE is also teaching a hydraulics class.  I’ll let him comment on that.

CV4722 Get Your Head Out of the Point Cloud:
Using AutoCAD Civil 3D for Large Surface Datasets (1.5 Hour lecture)

This class will look at what to do when you have LIDAR, aerial topo, GPS information or other data for surface building.  We’ll talk about what is possible in Civil 3D and how weed, streamline and cope with bulky files and surfaces.  (And no, there will not be a single slide on “just add more ram and get a better video card” ;) )

Looking forward to seeing you there!
