This post is not related to civil 3D except that this application called ENSO can be used with most windows apps. This is such a cool application, I had to share it. Check out this demo: http://www.humanized.com/enso_demo.php

On Monday, I was showing a group of Surveyors some of the features of Civil 3D. We discussed the pros and cons of the survey database, and compared those to what I consider to be a “dumb” text file - you know, the PNEZD comma-delimited files that you see so often. As I was explaining point rotation to them, I ran into something that I’d seen before, just not paid attention to. Minor bug, come to find out, but relatively easy to workaround. Follow the link to find out more.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of presenting a class at the Trimble Dimension 2007 annual conference in Las Vegas. The topic was “Using Your Trimble Equipment with Autodesk Civil 3D” and many more people attended the class than I expected… a total of 106! Unfortunately I only brought 50 handouts.
So, as promised to all those who attended, I’ve posted the handout here.
If this is your first time visiting civil3d.com, be sure to browse around. There are many posts related to surveying tasks. Use the search box in the upper right to find posts. Thanks again for being a great audience and good luck in your surveying with Trimble and Civil 3D.
Enjoy!
