What DOES That Button Do?

For those of you who are using Civil 3D 2009 (or any 2009 AutoCAD-based product) you’ve probably noticed that the program has gone to more of an icon-based setup, and it’s not always easy to figure out what the different buttons do. Remember seeing things like OSNAP, POLAR, DYN, DUCS, OTRACK, etc. along the bottom of your screen? Those are all nice little icons now - or are they?
