Today we feature another guest poster, John Evans, of relatively new DG and blogging fame. This discussion will focus on an As-Built Storm retention area that is being cleaned up. This surface is composed of an EG As-Built Point Group created solely for the AB surface creation. It contains all the EG locations the field crews delivered, EXCLUDING specific points that were beyond the scope of the surface model, and points that were a nuisance. This type of surface creation is useful for simple surface updates, that are not terribly intricate, and that allow big sweeping WC selections (Point Group EXCLUSIONS). (more…)
